Linskys RE1000 does not work on 10.13.6

My Linskys RE1000 Extender no longer works and I wonder if this is because macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 not compatible with it. Maybe the 32 bit and 64 bit question again? The Linskys 'Set Up' cannot find it.

If the Extender is 32 bit, can I still use it and how can I install it please?

I don't have any experience with the Linksys RE1000, but I do with the Netgear 3000 Extender. The latter requires no software installation. Like the Linksys, it plugs into a wall outlet, and is web-managed, independent of the computer operating system.

I recommend that you start over, and follow the setup instructions for the RE1000, and see if another pass at configuration resolves your no longer works issue.

I have again used the setup process using the CD supplied. Each time I have the notice that the extender cannot be located. I have checked the buttons, lights and location of the extender to no avail and I don't have sufficient computer knowledge to know what else I can do. If it is another problem caused by High Sierra's new specification then I will be better off ditching the Linksys RE 1000 and buying a web-managed extender as you suggested.

Thank you for your help.
