when you click on the link it is very good BUT Apple have all my details!

There do seem to be a number of scams using this particular app as cover at the moment. See Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support. I suspect the renew/cancel link does not go to a legitimate Apple website.
