Updating an Apple book

I made some small changes to my iBook file. How do update just the content and not have to go through the whole complete upload of the book?

You still have to upload the updated book asset.

Assuming you only need to update the main book and not the sample or cover, do this:

1. From iBooks Author, File > Export > Apple Books

2. Select the disclosure triangle for Apple Books Options

3. Select checkbox for Book will be exported as, and select "a complete book"

4. Increase the version number

5. Export the book

Open iTunes Producer

1. Enter the Apple ID, Vendor ID or title of your book in the search field top right and hit the return key

2. Go to Files tab and delete the placeholder images for book and sample

3. Drag your new version in

4. Go to the Details tab

5. Click on the cover image place holder and hit delete. It will be empty when you see dashed lines around the cover image area

6. Do the same for any screenshots if you uploaded any

7. Submit book
