Im going to purchase Tiger 10.4 for my iMac G4-800MHz. It is second hand, and the original owner changed the area code on the computer so he could watch DVD's from the US, (im living in New Zealand). I cant change the area code again without taking it to a professional.
Would I still be able to run Tiger 10.4 purchased from New Zealand on my iMac?

iMac G4-800MHz 17" (flat pannel series), Mac OS X (10.2.x)

The Region codes on DVD-Videos bear no relation to computer software. You will be able to install Tiger just fine.

Computer optical drives can have up to 5 region code changes. Simply insert an NZ (Region 4) DVD into the drive and, if there are any changes left, you'll see a dialogue box appear inviting you to change it. If the 5 changes have all been used up then you'll have to replace the drive (about $40US /£30) or use a software fix like MacTheRipper which removes Region Coding.
