Bootcamp on Windows 7

Hi, I have recently bought a new to me iMac 27, the 2013 version. Installing Windows 7 was simple enough then the Bootcamp installer automatically installed drivers supposedly. The Nvidia driver wouldn't execute so I had to download that directly from Nvidia.

But now I'm having issues with the keyboard and mouse. They function to a basic degree, but the function keys are not working, and I can't scroll or right click with the mouse, there are only two tabs in the Bootcamp control panel- startup disk and power. I tried installing the drivers from the folder to no effect, system information shows the keyboard and mouse as being Microsoft not Apple.

Can anyone help me to get them working

What is the PID/VID of the Keyboard/Mouse? Are these Magic Mouse 2/Magic Keyboard 2?

Hi Loner, I'm just at work. I'm not sure exactly, but I do know they are the rechargeable ones with the Lightning port, the mouse has it underneath if this helps

Just to confirm Loner, yes they are the Magic Keyboard 2 and Magic mouse 2

W7 BC drivers have no support for MK2/MM2. Can you test with an older BT Keyboard/Mouse?

I do have an older magic mouse and keyboard, but surely the new ones aren't that much different? I don't have the tabs for keyboard and mouse in the Bootcamp control panel.

Do the Magic Keyboard and mouse 2 work with Windows 8 or is it just Windows 10?

How feasible would it be for me to upgrade Windows 7, would a new install be required or not?

You can upgrade W7 to W10 in-place. BC6.x drivers should work with the MM2/MK2. There are no BC5.x drivers that I am aware of for MK2/MM2. Also, the BT version is a potential issue.
