There is no way to disable it per say, you just wouldn't use it. Private browsing isn't the default, it's something you manually click on.

You might want to install a different browser, one that doesn't have private browsing. You can then disable Safari.
Richard, I've done it on my iphone, but I'd like to eliminate the option for my kids on the macbook too. With private browsing, we can't see what they've been up to and we'd like them to be thinking we can see what they've been up to so they have some accountability to make wise and safe choices.
That's pretty tricky. You would have to disable VPN as well as the ability to install apps using their Mac user ID. And, of course, they would have to have a separate username on the Mac that did not have Administrator rights.
