Influx of Chinese emails in my junk file

I keep receiving over 1000 Chinese emails each day. I have applied various rules and it doesn't curtail the number.Any suggestions of how to stop them or to have them go to delete.

Thanks.

I‘ve been using Spamsieve for a while, and it works rather better than the in-built mail filtering in macOS.

There’s not much you can do about most any tsunami of spam, beyond the ever-unpopular changing of your email address, or through filtering.

In this case, bulk filtering by language at the mail client or (better, if the server filtering tools are accessible to you) filtering at the mail server is certainly possible.

If your mail provider implements and allows access to SpamAssassin or other tools at the mail server, that can work quite well.

My experience with the integrated spam filter in macOS has been poor.

You are never going to get static spam-filtering rules to work.

If effective filtering of spam was possible with a few, fixed filtering rules, the spammers would have a sad. Spammers have created tools and botnets that deliberately vary their messages to avoid static filtere.

Which is where we get Bayesian filtering, server reputation, DANE & SPF, and other techniques.

Thanks for your reply. The mail does go to my junk mailbox but I can't understand why the rules that I have appplied to delete them don't work. I have filtered by language, words, and even tried partial Chinese characters found in many of the email addresses. The addresses are mostly different and always a few characters off to block them all. I had over 3500 today when I turned on my computer from the last couple days, all in junk but still discouraging.

I'll try your 2 suggestions: Spamsieve and Spam Assassin.see what happens.
