Hi, X57! I believe this is not to upgrade the front panel, but rather replace it with a standard ATX-compliant power button, usb connectors, etc, for putting a standard ATX motherboard into a Mac Pro case. Still cool though, thank you for sharing!

Yep looks like your right Geotrax. Uber cool. 😎
They also do other accessories for converting an old cheese grater case, i.e. the back logic board mounting, the psu mounting, etc.
If I was into building custom PCs I would be very tempted, however my 'PC' is a Mac mini 2012 running Boot Camp.
You could hypothetically use an old cheese grater case, those conversion kit parts from TheLaserHive, build a PC and then turn that PC in to a 'Hackintosh' to make it able to run macOS! It would likely be much more powerful than a classic Mac Pro but it would be a rather absurd project. It would show however the sad situation regarding Apple 'professional' level computers. (Yes the 'new' Mac Pro is due out some time in 2019 but we still don't know the specs or pricing.)
yea Looks like your right Geotrax misunderstood what it meant
