Hard drive failed after installing 256gb drive

Recently upgraded my old Ipod Gen7 hard drive to the 256 gb SSD and everything was working fine until a week ago. Now I get the big X everytime I try and do a factory reset my Ipod. Any suggestions?

Ipod Classic Corrupted My ipod classic has become corrupted. Every time I connect my device to my computer to try and factory reset it iTunes essentially freezes. I'm able to move my mouse around, but it won't let me click on anything nor does any device icon even pop up. All I get is the bing sound when I connect my device, and nothing more.

ipod classic I have a 160 gb ipod classic. when trying to sync recently i got an error message that the firmware is corrupt. 8 tries to return to factory mode and reload the software has failed? Is this now a small brick or can it be saved. Thanks.

iPod Classic corrupted and freezes iTunes when connected, need iTunes to restore Yesterday evening I began having issues with both my iPod and iTunes. The iPod began freezing and would take up to a minute to register commands. When plugged into my computer, it is no longer recognized and iTunes would freeze. I've tried a number of steps, the latest being a DFU Restore on the iPod. I was optimistic because iTunes attempted to restore it, but after a couple of prompts nothing happened to the iPod and iTunes froze again.

iTunes may not be able to properly restore a device with a non-standard drive. Look to whoever supplied the conversion kit for advice.
