Can I buy a new cap for the pencil

To my knowledge, you can’t directly purchase a replacement cap from Apple retail or from the Apple Store. However, if you contact Apple Care directly, explaining that you have lost the cap from your Apple Pencil, they may (stress may) offer you a replacement cap for a nominal fee.
