Can iTunes recognize chapter stops in an mp3?

I have a concert recording in one long mp3 file. I was going to to use Audacity to add chapter stops with the song titles (using Label markers) but does iTunes recognize these markers -- i.e. will I be able to skip between songs and see the song title I input there? Or am I better off just chopping the file up into individual song tracks and importing it that way?

TIA,

L

If you chop it up I would use a tool such as MP3Trimmer or Fission which provide for lossless editing of mp3 files. If you use Audacity I am concerned it will require re-coding of the mp3 with inherent quality loss unless you start with the original track in a lossless format.
