The notificatio for me to approve this iphone keeps popping up. It is starting to get really irritating, I have never had to approve my iPhone before this so why do I have to do it now?!
What is the context? Have you enabled 2 factor authentication? If so you can approve it on the phone itself, as 2FA is to protect your Apple ID, not your device. See this for 2 FA: Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support
What are you actually doing when you see this request, if it isn't 2FA?
