I have a charging issue but it seems to be different than most. I have a Belkin Valet Charge Dock for Apple Watch & iPhone that I purchased from the Apple Store. It works fine with my iPhone X but it does not charge my Xs. When I plug in the Xs it starts to charge but then stops. A few minutes later it starts to charge again and then shuts off. When I plug in a regular lightning cable it charges fine.

On their site Belkin states the Valet is not compatible with the iPhone Xs series. There have been reports that a workaround is included in iOS 12.1 which is out as a beta. You can either sign up for the Public Beta, wait for the public release of 12.1 or contact Belkin.
