How to use Preview to export multiple page PDF as a single jpeg document?

How do I use Preview to export/save a multiple page PDF as a single jpeg document? I used Automator to create a "Save PDF to JPG" workflow, but it took a single 50 page PDF document and turned it into 50 separate JPG documents. I just want to simply change the PDF to a JPG while keeping the whole thing in one document.
