Returning iPhone XS

Hello,

I recently ditched my iPhone 7 plus and finally decided to upgrade. I ended up getting the iPhone XS directly from the Apple store, thinking that I would enjoy having a smaller phone since the 7 plus always did feel a little bulky. Upon using the XS for about a week and a half now, I've realized that I miss the wider screen and now want to switch to the iPhone XS max, but I have a few questions.

1.) If I return my XS, get the XS max and decide that I prefer the smaller phone, will I be able to return it and go back to the XS or does Apple limit the amount of returns you can do within a certain time period?

2.) Do I have to return the phone to the exact same apple store I purchased it from, or can I return it to another one in the same city?

3.) Will I get my refund in-store or will a cheque be mailed to me?
