Cant connect to the account "Comcast"

I have tried to log in to my email account using the apple "mail" application. I changed the password at the Xfinity web site but no matter what I do It will not accept any password, old or new, it continues to say "unable to verify account name or password".

This has been going on intermittently for several months and my workaround was to simply reboot the Mac.

However it didn't work this time for some reason.

any ideas???
