PowerMac7,2

That code returns a G5 Tower, Summer 2003.

That error used to come up when someone used the grey system install/restore disk that came with a different Mac instead of a full retail install disk to upgrade the OS on a PowerMac. It was very common when people trying to upgrade to OS 10.5 bought a grey disk from an Intel Mac and tried upgrading a PowerMac.

So, as Tractor Tippers says, we need to know more. What's the history? Had you attempted a system upgrade? How did you do the upgade?

Little tidbit: burned disks almost never work for system installs.
