Source for Apple Configurator 2

I'm trying to install Apple Configurator 2 on my High Sierra iMac. But since Mojave was released 3 weeks ago, the App Store won't allow me to get it. It requires Mojave or it won't install. The App Store is the only source I can find for it, but that avenue is closed to me.

No, I do not want to upgrade to Mojave yet. Among other things, it breaks 32-bit app support, and I'm unwilling to cross that bridge yet.

Does anyone know of a source for installers of older revisions of Configurator? Apple Support has offered workarounds which are either unavailable to me (such as opening App Store with the credentials of someone who's already installed Configurator in the past, then getting it from app history), or ridiculous (such as, upgrading my Mac to Mojave, installing Configurator, restoring it to High Sierra from backup, then retrieving Configurator from App Store via the app history). Needless to say, that's not something I'm willing to do, and I'm astonished that anyone at Apple proposed it to me.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The version of Configurator currently available in the App Store requires Mojave. The 10.12 requirement is obsolete. If that's what it says on some Web site somewhere, well, it's lying. Also, I've already spoken with Apple Support extensively. They refuse to provide an older version, and are intransigent on that.

Multiple people at Apple have refused to assist me in any way, beyond offering workarounds which are absurd or unavailable to me. They aren't even apologetic about their refusal to help.

Also, I'm trying to deploy Miradore management to iPads. According to them, the only means of doing so is Configurator, nothing else will work with their service. So alternatives won't suffice.

No, that is what is reported by Apple on the product itself. The problem that you are running into, I think, is one belonging to App Store. The current version of Mac OS is 10.4. Since you cannot have that installed on your computer the App Store will not let you have the current version of the Configurator.

I am running 10.4 and I also have the Configurator, and it works fine but I have no way to test it on a prior version of Mac OS.

It pretty much doesn't matter what Apple says about the product, if it's blocked from ever being installed. That's the problem. They've blocked it for any Mac that's not Mojave OS. They will not lift that block, for love or money. They've even told me preposterous things, like there's no such thing as a package installer for it, anywhere in the universe, not even archived in their development system.

The useless Apple Support people I've spoken to have said that, while it might be possible to run Configurator on anything other than Mojave, especially if someone's already installed it, it's unsupported and they will not assist those users with it if something goes wrong. Again, that's from their mouths, and it came from 2 different Apple employees. Apparently having to support the product for more than one OS is too great a burden for them. (As an IT generalist who has to support many different versions of dozens of different products on a whole raft of different OSes, I say ... cry me a river. The poor babies.)

At any rate, if anyone knows where a package installer for it can be found, I'd love to know.

You might ask for an older version. Note that the current version works with 10.12 and higher. If you need it for basic management no longer in iTunes, then you might try other apps like iMazing or iExplorer.
