delete an email ios12.1

How do I delete an email on my iPad? I can reply, forward, mark, notify me or move it, but can't find a trash option. The manual said to tap the trash basked at the bottom of the email, but there's nothing there.

iPad mini 4 Wi-Fi, Cellular, iOS 12.0.1

if you on the list place your finger on the email in question and move it slightly to the left most my accounts present a delete option in red

in case of my gmail it does not, but it does present an archive which in most respect is the same thing
