actually what does apple mean with IP67 water and dust resistance when compared to iphone 8plus
what does they actually mean with water resisitance,by giving ip67 rating;
iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 12

It means the phone is splash and water resistant. It is NOT waterproof. It is less likely to be damaged by accidentally splashing water on it than a device that does not carry that rating or higher.
Liquid damage is not covered under the warranty. That's pretty much the same across the industry.
