Loading games to iPod/iTunes

They got them from the iTunes Store.

You will first need iTunes 7.0.2.16 installed on your computer.

Then, open iTunes, and go to the "iTunes Store", or click on the "iPod Games" button below "Music", "Podcasts", etc. under the "Library" area of the iTunes Source List.

Once you're in the iPod games section of the iTunes Store, you can click on a game, preview it, buy it, read reviews, etc.

Note that if you have an iPod nano, you will not be able to play these games. They are only compatible with the Fifth Generation iPods.

First off, is your iPod's firmware updated to at least 1.2? (It would be preferred if your firmware was at the latest, 1.2.1, though)

If that isn't the case, then how are you accessing the game on your iPod?

Starting at the Main Menu (click on the "Menu" button a few times to verify that you are there), go here:

Extras > Games

Here, you should see Majong on the list with the other games.

If you have navigated to this location on your iPod, and the game does not appear there, then:

- Do you have the latest version of iTunes? (to check, open iTunes and go to "Help > About iTunes". It ought to be 7.1.1.5).

If not, download the latest iTunes from this page.

Are you getting the exclamation point and folder icon on your iPod?

If so, try restoring your iPod:

Where did u get the games from?

well, i am having an issue with seeing my game i purchased (tetris). i saw that it downloaded, but then it dissapeared and like didn't go under my library. I also need help with how to download the game on to my ipod. please help, thanks!

Just bought Texas Hold em Polker game - downloaded fine into my iTunes programme but when I try to sync it into my Ipod 30GB 5Gen, I am getting a message saying this computer is not authorised & it wil not transfer. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium. Any ideas?

Are you sure that your computer has been authorized yet? In iTunes, go to the "Store" menu, and click on "Authorize computer" (if that button is even available for you to click on).

After you have done the authorizing process, see if you can now sync purchases to your iPod, and post back with the details of what happens!

My problem is a bit worse. After reformating and reinstalling windows XP after I backed up my iTunes library I lost my games after resyncing. I had 4 games which I purchased off of iTunes and I backed them up on external HDD. So when I went to turn on my iPod I noticed the games were missing! What should I do? Did I lose my saved game info as well??!

i'm having a similar problem. how did you resolve it? how did you sync it to your ipod? my games keep saying "iTunes was not able to sync "..." to iPod becuase it is not authorized to be played on this computer" or something like that.. nore, how did you do it?

OK, I'm having issues. I bought and downloaded Sudoku and it shows up in my games in iTunes but will not transfer to my 30gig. It makes no sense and I'm going crazy trying to figure this one out. I have the latest version of itunes, my computer is authorized, so what's the deal?!

Are you getting any error messages when you try to sync that game to your iPod? If so, please quote what the error message says.

Also, is your iPod's firmware upgraded to the latest (1.2.1), since 1.2 or later firmware is required for transferring/playing games on a Fifth Generation iPod.

Thank you for such a prompt answer! Ok, I am not getting any error messages. Further, i accidentally found that if I drag the Sudoku icon on the word library in the left side, it transfers to somewhere. Unimportant, I'm sure.
Also, I checked and my version of iTunes is 1.2.1, do I need something else? When I drag the icon onto my Ipod, it won't let me add. I just get the circle with a slash.

Okay, is iTunes properly set to sync that game to your iPod?

If you connect your iPod to your computer, and click on its name in the Source List of iTunes, go to the "Games" tab.

Make sure that "Sync" is check-marked, and that "Sudoku" is selected to sync to your iPod (either with "Sync all games", or selected to sync to your iPod under "Sync selected games" option)

I recently bought Vortex from the itunes store. I cannot transfer the game to my ipod, but have not tried syncing the ipod because i would much rather prefer manually transfering all media to my ipod. This is because there are a lot of things on my ipod that i do not have on my computer. This includes an ipod game, Zuma, that i recieved from a friend. Therefore, if i sync my ipod, I will lose Zuma. Is there any way to transfer games without syncing my ipod? Thank you
