iphone 6 slow connection to home bt wifi

After recently updating my phone software, the connection to my home (BT) wifi is very slow - less than 1mbps download and around 4 upload. All other products - laptop, ipad, daughters iphone & ipad are ok.

Please note, prior to the software update, all speeds on all products was fast.

I've done the following with my phone: Reset Network Settings, Forgot Network and reconnected. Changed DNS number. My phones wifi speed is ok on other WIFI networks.

The only thing that restores the speed of my phone with BT wifi is when I switch off my phone, wait a short while and switch back on. But when I then leave my house and it has to reconnect to home wifi, the speed drops again.

This isn't really acceptable.

My software is uptodate with 12.0.1.

Does anyone else have this issue and may be able to help or might there be another update on it's way.

I'm sorry but far too techno jargon for me.

Basically, when I restart my iphone, speed of the wifi goes from 0.20mbps upload to 65.3mbps. There can't be anything wrong with the settings of the router or inteference.
