Bluetooth headphones battery level

Hi there. I'm on OS Mojave 10.14 on a MacBook Pro (Late 2013, 2.6 GHz Intel Core i5, 8GB Ram), and I cannot see the battery level for any of my Bluetooth devices. My current devices are:

  1. JBL Charge 3 (speaker)
  2. AUSDOM ANC8 (headphones)

I couldn't find drivers for either device. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to see the battery levels, especially on my headphones?

NOTE: the JBL speakers show the battery on the physical device, so I'm less concerned about that device, so any advice just on the headphones would be greatly appreciated.

The product vendors must implement Bluetooth GATT services (e.g. Battery Service) and transmit the correct service code for macOS to recognize and report the battery level. Apple does this for its own Bluetooth devices (e.g. Magic Mouse 2 is a service name), but may not be listening for other Battery Service services from non-Apple devices, or the vendors have either not implemented it, or have not implemented it in a manner that Apple prescribes to be recognized.

You can contact each vendor and ask them if they are transmitting Bluetooth GATT Battery Service information, and if they can verify that it works on macOS, and in particular macOS Mojave.

There is no driver solution, or tweak to macOS that you can do to remedy this issue. It has to be engineered into the device's Bluetooth radio firmware.
