How do I assign a specific function (mission control) to fn key?

MacBook Pro

Model Identifier: MacBookPro15,1

Processor Name: Intel Core i7

Processor Speed: 2.6 GHz

Number of Processors: 1

Total Number of Cores: 6

L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB

L3 Cache: 9 MB

Memory: 32 GB

Have tried System prefs/keyboard/shortcuts -- doesn't work.

I have assigned F14 to open Mission Control on my Mac.

To change the keyboard shortcut, click directly on the keyboard short in the right column to highlight then press the keyboard command you want to use. Be aware some short cuts may already be in use for other functions.
