Why does a book say NEW when it is not? How can I change this?

The list of books shows that books are new when they are not. This is annoying.

Also, how can I get rid of the thumbnails and just have the words?

Apple Books app Hello, I’ve noticed that Books app is changed, changed for the worse. app control became small and many functions like page turning is gone. I don't understand the craze of making the controls appear and disappear, as if one had to guess where they are and always remember where they are. all to make a beautiful but not very functional product.why? Apple Books iPadOS 16 The changes to Apple Books in iOS16 are terrible. The normal skeuomorphic page turn is now gone, the controls are hidden and difficult to find and enact. When the pagers turn while it dark mode, a flash occurs which is terribly distractive. Bring back the old one. I believe you will loose users of Apple Books, including myself, when I find an alternative that works with the. Apple Book library.
