caps lock light not working Magic Keyboard Numeric Keypad slate gray

Five month old Magic Keyboard with numeric keypad in slate gray caps lock light not working. The little green light does not function. The key function still works. It is just the indicator light.

Search and found similar issues with no solutions from about 6-10 years ago.

I recall it working just a few weeks ago, but not if it was before or after upgrading to Mojave. It's just something you don't pay too much attention to until it doesn't work. Then, YOU GET THIS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING...

I have disconnected. Repaired. Killed Bluetooth prefs. Power cycled keyboard.

MacBook Pro TouchBar and Touch ID, macOS Mojave (10.14), 15-inch 2.7 i7 16 GB RAM 512GB SSD

In case it helps others.

It is appearing to be a conflict with Karabiner Elements 12.10 and Mojave.

I forget I have that running it has been so long.

I upgraded to Mojave and the caps lock light stopped working as well, although the key functioned. I fixed the problem by turning the keyboard off and then back on.

Update.

I updated to Karabiner Elements 10.12.5 (beta) to resolve this. Caps lock key LED is working again.

Not experiencing any other issues from the beta. Seems to run fine.
