My iTunes isn't working. text is faded and unresponsive

I own a MacBook Air - MacOS High Sierra iTunes used to work - now it is silent and text is faded. How do I reinstall it?

MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015), macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)
