All devices awaiting iCloud authentication from each other
I’m trying to log into icloud on four devices - an iphone, a mac mini, an ipad and a macbook. They have all been logged into a work icloud account. I’m trying to log them back into a personal icloud account I haven’t used for a year or so (although the associated Apple ID have been active and the devices are logged into that).
I’ve logged in to icloud on each device. They all have a notification in settings that “some account services will not be available until you sign in again”. Each time i follow the prompts from here I enter my password, and then the device login/keypass password, and then it hangs with a message “Approve this [device] - go to one of your other devices signed into iCloud to approve this [device]”, with a spinning wheel and “waiting for approval”. At the bottom is a link to “cant approve this [device]?” That gives an option to ”reset end-to-end encrypted data to finish setting up iCloud”.
This seems to mean it will delete my keychain data, and i’d really rather not lose all of this!
Can anyone help with this? The only answers is can find involve switching off two-factor authentication which I think is no longer an option.
Thanks!
