imac 10.10.5 and Airdrop

Good evening, I'm not expert, it's my first time. So please you're gentle.

I have Imac version 10.10.5 Yosomite, and on it there's airdrop.

Airdrop doesn't work and I don't know why.

It doesn't connect and doesn't find my iphone.

Can you help me please?

Airdrop I have an Imac (mid 2011) that has airdrop showing, however, on purchasing a new Imac I am not able to airdrop between them? The new one has picked up phone and ipad no problem but I can't get it to work on the old one. I have seen somewhere that I should be able to do this can anyone throw any light on this please? AirDrop won't receive on my iMac I can't get AirDrop on my iMac. TRIED: I don't have AirDrop in my Finder sidebar, AirDrop notifications are turned on, bluetooth is a go, "everyone" is checked in my AirDrop window, I did a hard reset of my iPhone, I can send sucessfully to my iPhone np. NOW… what?

High Sierra and AirDrop Hi guys, I have just purchased a 2010 iMac running High Sierra 10.13.6 but can not get AirDrop to work? My other 3 devices MBP running Catalina iPad on 13.5.1 and an iPhone 6 12.4.7 can all see each other but not the iMac, if any one can throw some light on this I would much appriciate it. Stay Safe
