Have an iPod Classic and use a Denon dock to connect to amp/tuner--
Can't get small white remote to work with it-- --altho' it works with my AppleTV--
Does it require an Apple dock?

My recollection is that the iPod classic has remote functions on its headphone lead, but if you want to control it remotely on a dock you do it by communicating with the dock, not the iPod. It doesn't have an IR or Bluetooth receiver.

One would assume so. Or you need Denon's remote if they have one.
