How do I stop Safari from defaulting to Bing instead of Google search?

Safari began defaulting to Bing for searches, though I have Google selected, have deleted cache, and have no extensions turned on. It's not that I dislike Bing, but don't like for Safari or Apple to make the decision for me. How do I control the default? (I've set the default under "Safari—Preferences—General—Homepage" to Google. I'm using OS X Sierra, 10.12.6.

Nonetheless........ Help?

Thanks! It worked. Apparently, my homepage was set to "https://www.google.com/" (but somehow it defaulted to Bing). When I erased it, and entered "http://www.google.com/"—it no longer defaulted. Not sure why, but I'm glad it works. Thanks again for the help.
