Is it true that the Intel modem is causing cellular data issues with XS Max?

cellular data has been painfully slow to non-existant. I‘ve Read elsewhere that the switch from Qualcomm chipset to Intel chipset is the culpri. If this is a hardware issue what’s the solutio? Current cell data is not acceptable

Yes, it’s absolutely true. I traded in my iPhone 7 for the XS Max and after 1 week I’m returning it and considering going Samsung. I have experienced no signal at all where my spouse has full bars on the same carrier. At dinner last night I couldn’t even check work email bc there was no service and others at the table had zero issues. My home WiFi on the iPhone 7 was always perfect and the XS is all over the place trying to keep a connection. Zero excuses for a $1400 phone to have these issues. Who cares about facial recognition or so called improved camera technology when you can’t even make a call. And Apple support fully acknowledged the issue and said they are trying to figure it out. In the meantime I need a phone that works so Adios apple. FYI.....I’m on the Verizon network in San Antonio, TX where signal is never an issue.
