How do I get rid of the White Spot on my Lock Screen?

I do not know how that white spot appeared. I just updated my iPad to the latest version and somehow the spot appeared in the lock screen. It disappears when I open up the control center, but when I exit from it, the white spot comes back. It also disappears when I unlock my iPad, but it appears again when I go back to the lock screen. I even rebooted my iPad and it still wouldn’t go away.

Is there anything I can do?

Here’s the picture for context.

There appears to be a bug in iOS that, for cellular capable iPads that do not have an active SIM card installed, the cellular signal bar at the top-right of the screen is replaced with the “white blob”.

I personally observed this behaviour when upgrading an iPad Mini 2 from iOS 11.4.1 to iOS 12 - however, the “blob” disappeared upon subsequent update of the iPad to iOS 12.0.1.
