What are these .aae and img_Exxxx files

I have seen several people say they are the "original" and if you edit a file the .aae and img_Exxx files are a result of the editing, but I don't edit ANY file my iphone images and literally EVERY photo has the .aae and img_Exxx files.

Probably ProShot effectively edits each picture as it takes it, to achieve some or all of the special features it offers. The developer's website doesn't show a FAQ or Tech Support section, so I can't confirm that. If the app has a help section, you might check to see if the extra files are mentioned or ask Tech Support about it.

Luckily, .AAE files are typically small, so the space may be only doubled rather than tripled.

So I think I have figured out (at least why I) have these files. I use an app called ProShot to take my pictures. Every picture I take with ProShot has those extra files. The ones I take with the iPhone built-in camera app just has the single normally named file.

Wondering how I can stop this it is taking up a lot of extra space by having the extra files.
