can no longer record after update with mojave

After updating my OS with Mojave, I opened FCPX 10.4 and was asked about mic permissions. I stupidly clicked no, thinking it was referring to the internal mic, not my external set up. Now I can no longer record. Does anyone know how this can be fixed? Thank you!
