Tripped on the stairs at my high school and broke my MacBook Pro 2017 while it was in my computer bag. Is this covered with AppleCare+ ?

All you can do is take it in, and let Apple assess the damage and go from there.

With your AppleCare+ it will cover a large portion of accidental damage.

Screen damage or “external enclosure damage” will run $99 per incident, while other damage, including water damage, will run $299. Yes, up to 2 incidents of accidental damage are covered. Bring or send it in to Apple.
