My wife recently travelled to Greece and at one point I wanted to find out where the group was, so I pinged all of our devices via Find my Phone. Her iPhone SE showed offline even though I know at that moment it was turned on and using cellular roaming services, because just after that, I called her. Does Find my Phone work outside of North America?

In addition, without Wi-Fi then Find My iPhone would rely on a cellular data connection, so if your international plan only allowed for calling then that would likely explain it.
Thx, yes her plan has full data capability. It was picking up proper locations throughout her trip because all of her pictures have the correct location attached to them in their metadata.
Yes it does but it may have had difficulty with the cell carrier your wife was using at the time. I hope you signed up for some kind of international plan before she went or those are going to be some really expensive calls.
Thx, yes we’re on a full service worldwide plan, data included. So not sure what could have changed in Settings because the moment she landed in Toronto, Find my Phone picked it up right away when she turned off Airplane Mode
