Messages not acting correct on macbook pro

I have an up to date (Mojave 10.14) 2017 Macbook pro. Since downloading Mojave, everytime i switch networks, I must reverify the macbook via a code from my iphone so that messages will work. I never used to have to do this and obviously it's not correct. Can anyone help? Thank you.
