I’m only able to text other iPhone users from my iPhone 6, why?

Why can I only text iPhone, iPod, etc but no android phones?

Despite the previous post, there is no setting to turn SMS on or off on your iPhone. You need to contact your carrier as SMS is a carrier feature.

There is a feature "Send as SMS" in Messages. However that only affects what happens to an iMessage that fails to send, as the explanation underneath the setting explains: "Send as SMS when iMessage is unavailable".

Only your carrier can fix this.
