I bought a Rosetta Stone French lesson through I Tunes and want to cancel it, but can't find a place to do it.

If you don't see an entry with an upcoming renewal date then I suspect you've successfully cancelled the subscription. You can always Contact Apple Support to reassure yourself.

i have tried that many times. When I click on edit my subscription, the page that comes up only has extend the subscription. THERE IS NO CANCEL ANYWHERE!
