How to fix small videos on iPhone

Some videos I receive through text come out a decent size. I had already discovered that if I tapped on it it would fill my whole plus size iPhone screen. Some videos I receive through text though, come out about a half inch tall. Tapping on them increases the size but nowhere near filling the whole screen. We can’t figure out why some people receive the videos in full size, and some only get these tiny thumbnails where even tapping on it does not get a full sized screen. There is more to the problem/solution then tapping on the video image.

If these are sent via iMessage as from another iPhone, then they should fill your screen. But if they're sent from an Android device, then those are subject to compression and size constraints that imessage doesn't have.

thanks. Yes we did know that there is a problem sending from iPhone to android. But this is between iPhones. Something affects the way people receive the videos. One person gets a thumbnail that’s a half an inch, another one gets a small 2“ x 1 1/2“. Mine looks to be about 3“ x 2 1/2“, when sent from one person, and a half inch one sent from another person, what gives?
