I'm trying to download new songs from my iTunes onto my iPhone 8, but it said I need an iOS of 10.11 or higher. I have a Macbook Pro from 2011 so I don't think I'm able to download 10.11 as I tried to get El Capitan and it said it wasn't supported. Is there any way I can still use my current iTunes to sync my music without a system update?
Download the current 12.8 installer for iTunes from https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/.
Unlock your iOS device and connect it to USB.
Reinstall iTunes from the .dmg that you've downloaded.
During the installation it should announce that a further software update is required.
Install that and iTunes should see your device.

Your computer’s capable of running High Sierra. Unless you’re on 10.7.5 or below, this is why the Mac App Store won’t allow you to download El Capitan.

I upgraded to High Sierra and tried to sync my iTunes again, but it didn't register my phone. I tried exiting out of iTunes & replugging in the phone, but it still didn't register. Any advice on how to solve this?
