I am a writer and use a MAC for my work. In the past others have done the formatting now Amazon wants us to but their instructions just don't seem to be clear to me. When I upload my manuscript I can't seem to keep the paragraphs. What am I missing?

I couldn't do the steps they suggested on my MAC. I don't have exactly the same options they said to use so I was hoping to find another MAC user that solved the problem. Sorry I got to the wrong forum.
