transfer music from the cloud from my 20 year old apple computer
All my music is on a 20 year old laptop. I am trying To get it onto my new phone and laptop. It’s not working

I understand from your post that you would like to transfer music from your 20-year old Apple computer to your current laptop and iPhone. In a situation like this you will need to export the music files from your old computer to an external hard drive. Then import the music from the external hard drive to your new laptop. Once the music is on your current laptop you can then sync the music to your iPhone either using iCloud or manually.
If you are using iTunes on your previous Apple computer you can save your iTunes library to an external hard drive and then restore the iTunes library to your current laptop using the steps from the following article:
