when I edit a video and trim it shorter, I used to have the option to trim original or save as new clip, however I only have the option now to save as new clip. I also have an iPad and this is not an issue.
Plenty of Data on iPhone and in storage.

- Open the Photos app and tap the video that you want to edit.
- Tap Edit.
- Move the sliders on both sides of the video timeline to change the start and stop times.
- To preview your video, tap

Photos on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch saves your edits as a new video so that you can use the long or short version whenever you like.

So the feature to trim the original video was removed on iphone? I can still do it on my ipad...
Trim original function disappeared when editing length of videos.
