My left earpiece sometimes doesn’t work

I have got AirPods for a year. And all this time left earpiece sometimes doesn’t work. It happenes when I put it out or stop music for a moment. In such situations I can just put both earpieces to the case and wait some time (for an hour). They are clean, they were not wet, I have put the white button on the case and wait. I‘ve got this problem not only with my phone (iPhone 7 Plus, version 12.0), but also MacBoo.
