pending gift and no resend or cancel button

I sent a gift to a friend, but neither of us got any emails until now. There is no resend button, but there’s no way that the gift has been redemeed. i tried to check on my purchase history, it still says “Pending” and without any order id. I don’t know what to do now and I cant cancel the purchase either. help!
