Can you have two different passcodes?

Hi. I hope you are all having a good day. I have a question for the community. Must your Apple Watch have the same passcode as your iPhone, or can each have their own separate passcodes? I wanted to change the passcode that I use to lock my iPhone X, but I do not want to change the Watch passcode. When I am finished, I will have one passcode for the iPhone, and a different one for the Watch. I am using iPhone X with Apple Watch 3, iOS 5.0.1
