httpmail not working

Question

httpmail not working

I just installed httpmail , followed the instructions. I can send to my hotmail account using MAIL, but I don't receive any e-mails from hotmail into my MAIL, in fact everytime I go to getmail, it takes my httpmail account off-line. Am I doing something wrong with the settings?

mac-mini, Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Under Mail | Preference | Accounts | Advanced, do you have the Httpmail URL as http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp ?

Thankyou for working with me, I would really like to get this to work. Yes I do have that urrl in advanced. They talk about it not working with webmail, that confuses me. I go to msn.com, and my hotmail account is there. In advanced I chose for encode western (MAC OS Roman). Incoming mail server I'm using hotmail.com. Please let me know..Thanks..Dave
