MacBook Air screen discoloration

The left 2 inches of my laptop screen are a rainbow/fuzzy mixture of colors. The discoloration went away for a while and then came back, not sure what is causing this issue

Neither are we. Make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar for service. If you need to find an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple. If you did not purchase it from Apple then you will need to look to the vendor for service or How to find your nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) or Distributor (AAD).

I should probably mention that the left side of my laptop got some water on it while the lid was closed (mostly got on charging/usb port). I dried it out in front of fans and a dehumidifier, but this problem arose 12 hours after the water was spilt. There is no other damage to the device other than the discoloration on the screen (obviously it's from the water). I just want to know if it is an inexpensive or easy fix (especially since the problem goes away sometimes on its own and then returns).
